Bob Thomson joined M&A Construction in 1984 as a small civil site contractor performing lot clearing of what was to become Thomson and Co. Inc.  Thomson and Co. built a reputation for on time performance, quality work and grew into a well-respected contractor that the development community  could count on.

In 2006 Bob hired Wes Corder, a young civil engineer with a degree from N.C State to help him grow and build the company. Shortly thereafter, the recession hit and a lot of work dried up for all contractors including Thomson, Corder and Co.  The company turned to each other to explore all options and fine tune their capabilities and follow relationships to Florida, Georgia and South Carolina to survive the recession. 

After many years, the company returned back to the Wilmington market to use the skills and abilities learned on the road and flourished. The company name was changed to Thomson, Corder and Co. in 2012 as Wes became VP and COO of the company.

TCCO continued to develop a reputation as a client focused, value-added site contractor that is creative and does whatever it takes to deliver quality work, on time.  Single family, multifamily, commercial and industrial developers and contractors alike in Eastern NC and beyond have counted on TCCO to perform their civil site work.  We are proud to call many of these clients our friends.

Today TCCO is a full-service site development company serving large scale residential, commercial and industrial developers across the Southeast. With over 150 full time employees and over 100 pieces of company owned equipment,  TCCO can handle projects of any size and complexity from the initial planning to final site grading and stabilization.
